The short version
- We use your data to provide Gutcast’s meal and wellness pattern features.
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not use your data for cross-app advertising or tracking.
- You can delete your account and associated app data from inside Gutcast.
1. Who we are
Gutcast is provided by Rewire & Rise Education Pty Ltd (“Gutcast,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), an Australian company based in Queensland, Australia. For privacy questions, email hello@rewireandrise.com.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Profile and onboarding information: display name, goals, food sensitivities, symptoms you choose to track, and preferences.
- Meal content: meal photos, meal descriptions, identified ingredients, meal timestamps, and analysis results.
- Wellness information: symptom check-ins, severity, timing, notes, Gut Scores, and personal trigger patterns.
- Support communications: information you include when you contact us.
Information collected automatically
- Account identifier: an automatically created internal user ID. Gutcast does not require a username or password for its anonymous sign-in flow.
- Purchase information: subscription status, product selected, and transaction status. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive your full payment-card information.
- Product interaction data: feature usage and app events that help us understand reliability and improve the experience.
- Technical information: limited device, app version, diagnostic, and network information needed to operate and secure the service.
We do not access your camera until you grant iOS permission. Photos are collected only when you choose to capture or submit them for a Gutcast feature.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate your app session and keep your data associated with your account;
- analyze meals and identify possible gut-risk ingredients;
- generate meal forecasts, symptom reminders, Gut Scores, history, and Trigger Board results;
- save and sync your app history;
- manage subscriptions and restore purchases;
- monitor performance, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve Gutcast;
- respond to support, privacy, or legal requests; and
- comply with applicable law and protect users, our rights, and the service.
Gutcast does not use your meal photos or wellness information to make medical diagnoses. Gutcast is a wellness tool, not a medical device.
4. Service providers and sharing
We share information only as needed to operate Gutcast with vendors acting on our behalf. Depending on the production configuration, these may include:
These providers may process information in countries other than your own. We require providers to protect information consistently with this policy and applicable law. We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect safety or legal rights, or as part of a business transfer subject to appropriate confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs, IDFA, or cross-app tracking.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep account and app content while your account is active so Gutcast can provide your history and patterns. We may retain limited security, transaction, support, or legal records for as long as reasonably necessary to meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.
To delete your Gutcast account, open Settings → Delete account & all data. The app permanently removes your account, meals, meal photos, symptom logs, scores, and associated records from active systems. This cannot be undone. You may also email hello@rewireandrise.com for help with a privacy request.
6. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing.
- Camera and notifications: change permissions at any time in iOS Settings.
- Delete your account: use Gutcast Settings for immediate self-service deletion.
- Access or correction: update available profile choices in the app or email us.
- Analytics or other requests: contact us with the subject “Gutcast privacy request.” We may need to verify that the request relates to your account.

7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted network connections, access controls, and database rules that restrict account data. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
Gutcast is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, contact us so we can review and delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Gutcast or applicable law changes. We will post the updated version here with a new effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate.
